Tenafly Library Tops All Records In New Building

TENAFLY - Since the opening of the new library in the new municipal complex of buildings in Tenafly. the public library has loaned 1,200 more books per week than it did last year in March.

The total number of books circulated from March 18 to March 30, was 11,154. People doing reference work numbered over 1,100, which was more than twice the number for any previous month in its history.

"Readers are delighted with the new hours that the library is open and comments about the accessibility of all materials have been very gratifying", Mrs. Garomon reports.

The library will observe the Easter weekend, closing Friday and Saturday as well as Easter Sunday. Regular hours will be followed thereafter as follows:
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9 a. m. to 9 p. m.

Wednesday and Friday 9a. m. to 6 p. m.

Saturday 9 a. m. to 2 p.m.

The next regular story hour for children from kindergarden through the fourth grade will be held April 27 at 1 p. m. Free tickets are now available at the desk in the children's room.

A reading club is being organized for children in the fifth, and sixth grades. The number of members will be limited so students should sign up as quickly as possible.
