Tenafly, NJ - This was your life in 1969 - the year you were 75 years a borough, although dating to Dutch and English colonial settlers. Your population was about 15,500.

Located on the Hudson River, four miles north of the George Washington Bridge, Tenafly was the only community extending from the river to the Northern Valley's western ridge.

Largely a community of one-family homes, Tenafly had one State Highway 9W - also known as Sylvan Boulevard - the Palisade Interstate Parkways, several miles of county roads and over 150 miles of local streets.
